COMPANY HISTORY

Our History So Far

Since our beginnings over ten years ago we have grown to 10 retail outlets, over 70 great staff and a successful online jewellery store. Whilst we are always looking to grow with new locations we focus on maintaining a small and effective team structure with company owned stores. Below are some of Silver Shop’s historic milestones.

December 2009
Silver Shop turns 10!
It's tough having a birthday in December but we will surely celebrate with an event during the New Year.

November 2009
Our Townsville store has outgrown its 40m2 site and we have secured a great 120m2 position in preparation for the centre's extension and refurbishment.  The store now becomes the largest in the group and Jacqui and her team are "proud as punch".

August 2009
It's been a long wait but Stockland Rockhampton is finally ready and our new corner position takes pride of place on Opening Day.

April 2009
Robina Town Centre on the Gold Coast is the site of our 9th Silver Shop.  The unique store has a glass wall, the entire length of the store.  Pandora and NAJO are our feature ranges.

February 2009
Silver Shop joins the big names and the newly refurbished Marina Mirage on the Gold Coast spit.  Our boutique style store focuses on NAJO, Von Treskow, Palas and other unique designer ranges.

October 2008
Stockland Townsville nominated for "Excellence in Sales", "Excellence in Marketing" and "Retailer of the Year" at Stockland Centre Awards Night.  Silver Shop took home the "Excellence in Sales" award.

September 2008
Grand Central Silver Shop cleans up at the Centre's Awards Night.  We take home the Best in Jewellery Category Award and the prestigious overall Retailer of the Year Award.

August 2008
Sirocco Resort on the Mooloolaba Esplanade will be our first resort store.  The store looks great and it has a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean.

Grand Central receives "Highly Commended" in the Retail Category at Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards.

August 2007
We find a great spot in the prestigious "Queens Plaza" on Queen Street in the Brisbane CBD.  It will be our flagship store and is the first example of our new Concept Store with our striking NAJO wall.  It is also the first example of the Pandora "Shop In Shop".

January 2007
Our lease is finished and we have decided to close our Hyperdome store.  Good things are to come though, we are looking for a city store.

November 2005
Caneland Central store in Mackay wins the Merchandising Award in the Centre's award night.
