The vision for the new Silvershop Townsville store was brought to life by interior designer Carly, whose approach centred on creating a timeless retail experience rather than simply following trends.
"I wanted to create a jewellery store that felt warm, refined and inviting," Carly explains. "A place where customers could slow down, browse comfortably and enjoy the experience of discovering beautiful jewellery pieces."
Rather than designing for the moment, Carly selected enduring materials and simple architectural forms that will continue to feel beautiful for years to come. Warm timber, natural stone and softly layered lighting work together to create an understated elegance that complements the jewellery without overpowering it.
The result is a contemporary jewellery store that feels welcoming today and timeless for the future.
Every Detail Has Been Carefully Considered
Some of the most impactful design decisions are also the most subtle.
Concealed lighting gently illuminates every display. Curved joinery softens the space and naturally guides movement throughout the store. Integrated storage keeps displays beautifully uncluttered, while carefully proportioned showcases ensure every collection has room to shine.
These details work quietly behind the scenes to create a seamless customer experience that encourages exploration, conversation and discovery.
The open layout invites customers to browse comfortably, discover new arrivals, layer their favourite pieces and enjoy a more personal shopping experience.

Working closely with Silvershop founder Colin, Carly balanced thoughtful design with the practical needs of everyday retail.
Together, every decision – from customer flow through to the smallest design details – was carefully considered to enhance both the shopping experience and the day-to-day operation of the store.
"Trust and open communication are what make our working relationship successful," Carly says. "Colin values thoughtful design, and we're able to collaborate right down to the micro design details to create the best outcome for both the business and its customers."
