WARRANTY POLICY

We want you to enjoy your Silvershop jewellery for as long as possible. Every Silvershop piece is covered by a warranty from the date of purchase.

This Warranty Policy outlines what is covered and how to make a warranty claim. Your warranty is in addition to, and does not affect, your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

1. OUR WARRANTY PERIODS

All Silvershop jewellery is covered by a warranty for 12 months from the date of purchase.

2. WHAT DOES THE WARRANTY COVER?

Our warranty covers faults that occur because of defective materials or manufacturing fault during the applicable warranty period.

If you believe your jewellery has developed a fault, please contact our Customer Care team at hello@silvershop.com.au.

Each claim will be assessed by our team to determine whether the issue is covered by the warranty.

3. WHAT HAPPENS IF MY CLAIM IS APPROVED?

If your claim is approved, we may, depending on the nature of the fault:

  • Repair the item;
  • Replace the item with the same or an equivalent product; or
  • Provide a refund, store credit or another appropriate remedy.

Where a repair or replacement is covered by the warranty, Silvershop will cover the reasonable cost of the repair or replacement.

4. WHAT ISN'T COVERED?

Our jewellery is delicate and should be cared for in accordance with our jewellery care recommendations.

The warranty does not cover damage or issues caused by:

  • Normal wear and tear;
  • Accidental damage;
  • Loss or theft;
  • Misuse or improper handling;
  • Failure to follow our jewellery care recommendations;
  • Exposure to chemicals, perfume, cosmetics, chlorine, salt water or other substances;
  • Natural tarnishing or fading, including fading of gold-plated or gold vermeil jewellery;
  • Bending, reshaping or altering the original structure of a piece;
  • Repairs or alterations carried out by someone other than Silvershop.
  • Continued use of jewellery after a fault or damage has become apparent, where this has contributed to further damage.

Please note that the appearance and condition of jewellery can change over time with regular wear. This is not necessarily considered a manufacturing fault.

5. HOW DO I MAKE A WARRANTY CLAIM?

If you believe your jewellery has developed a fault, please contact hello@silvershop.com.au.

To help us assess your claim, please provide:

  • Your order number or proof of purchase;
  • A description of the issue; and
  • Clear photographs of the jewellery and the fault, where possible.

Our Customer Care team may request further information or ask you to return the item for assessment.

Please do not send your jewellery back to us before contacting our team.

6. REPAIRS & ADDITIONAL SERVICES

If your jewellery requires a repair that is not covered by this warranty or your rights under Australian Consumer Law, we may be able to assist for an additional fee.

We will advise you of any applicable costs before proceeding with the repair.

For repair enquiries, please contact hello@silvershop.com.au.

7. AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW

Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

This means you may have rights to a repair, replacement, refund or other remedy where your jewellery does not meet the consumer guarantees provided by law.

Nothing in this Warranty Policy limits, excludes or replaces your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
